Demonstration

A demonstration is the public display of the opinion (it’s usually a politic or social opinion) of an activists’ group, by means of an association of people in the streets, in a symbolic place or date and that it has to see with that opinion. The reason of being of a demonstration is to show that a significant part of the population is in favour or in against of a subject that it concerns everybody. Lots of times, other mechanisms of protest like the strikes accompany the demonstrations. I think that is very important that every people declare what they think because everybody have right to make clear which are our opinions about different subjects, both if you are in accordance and if you are in disagreement. I think that when you demonstrate you are taking a step for to begin to change the things for better, because if there is an unfair situation for the people, the environment, etc. and nobody do nothing for to change it, we have to protest until the really people that they can change this fact reports of the problem that exists and of that there are people worried for those problems. For all this things, I think that to ignore our routine from time to time for to show your idealisms to the world is something that it’s very well done and that we must do, but that we have to choose and understand the reasons for that you are declaring and to protest for the really important for you.

comics

The comics were born in the United States of America like consequence of the rivalry between two big newspapers in the end of the 19th century. In this time of commercial competency was added a weekly section in colour, where the drawers of the newspaper published their works where they showed infantile and collectives vignettes of the proletariat. The first comic character that was made was a bald, with big ears and a yellow nightdress, the Yellow Kid, he expressed by means of written texts on his t-shirts. Continuing with this revalidates between newspapers they created new comic plots like The American Humorist, Kid strips, Little Tiger, Happy Hooligan, Alphonse and Gaston or Her name was Maud! Like this, the caricaturist antisocial-hero topics revolutionised in different comics of different styles like fantasy, tenderness, etc. but always with a satiric point. I think that to read comics is a wonderful hobby because it’s a very interesting and funny literature and of course that you have to read different kinds and styles of books, but I think that like there are a lot of different comics, if you look for you will get the comic that fit with you and you will enjoy the time that you will spend reading it.Some years ago I read many books of Asterix and Obelix (I think that I have all the collection) and now I love to read Mafalda and I would like to read some manga comic, but I never encourage to do it.

    gothenburg

The last month my sister, my mom and I traveled to Madrid, and we stayed in my uncle and aunt’s home one day, for to the next day take a plane to go to Sweden. We went to Sweden because my brother is there since four months and we miss him a lot. We were in Gothenburg for eight days and we slept in the student’s room of my brother.

We enjoyed so much because we meet the my brother’s friends, we went to visit the islands, we ate much delicious food, we visited the botanic park, the river, the lakes, the parks, the street market and a very beautiful city of small streets and wonderful sceneries, with a very friendly guide. We had a big fun and we meet a new country and a new culture. But the best was to see again my brother, though he doesn’t miss us so much like we to him.

I impressed that there the people don’t use the cars almost, they go waking to everywhere, using the tram or the bikes. And I think we must do that. Next month my brother come back to Valencia for to stay in Christmas, but I would like to go to Sweden again because it was a fantastic experience for me.

    hispanidad

The 12 of October is commemorated the date when Cristobal Colon arrived to America, for to remember the discovery of this “new” continent and to praise to Colon. In principle, was proposed to celebrate the “Colon’s Day”, but was celebrated the “Festivity of the Race”, for to pay tribute to the Hispanic race. The priest Vizcarra proposed in Buenos Aires to change the “Festivity of the Race” for the “Day of the Hispanidad”, for to make clear that are the Hispanic people to who is directed this celebration.
The “Day of the Hispanidad” is presumably for to bring out the Hispanic race, started for the blend of the native Americans and the Spanish conquerors, when Colon conquered America, but now (at least in Spain) the people only celebrates this day for to makes feel upside of the rest of people, underestimating them and forgetting the really reason of this day, that it pretends to be honest. Then, the 12 of October of every years was declared bank holiday. And when arrives this date, the extreme right-wingers go out to the streets to state and to feel pride for to be Spanish people.

My really opinion with pictures and horrible pictures of the hispanidad.

    the inuit

The Eskimos live in the artic regions of America, Greenland and Siberia. They prefer to be called the Inuit, because Eskimo is a derogatory term that mean «devourer of meat». This people have their origins in the northeast of Asia. Do some thousands of years they crossed the Berlin’s strait for to stay in the north of America too. The Inuit live in the north’s tundra of Canada, Alaska and Greenland. In this zone of the Earth live near of 100.000 persons. The Inuit have a nomad life, they follow the migrations of the animals that they hunt, like the caribous, the bears, the whales and the seals. Of that ones and of others animals they use all the possible parts for to eat, to wrap up and to construct igloos and tools for to hunt, like for example, the whales’ teeth (the Inuit take a whale’s beard and he coils it inside of a fat’s ball, this ball is eaten for a polar bear and when the fat is dissolved in its stomach, the beard stretches and hurt inside, then the Inuit hunter only have to follow the bear until it collapses). Actually, for the strong process of civilization, there is a big chance in their form of life. The Inuit are organized in familiar groups and every member has a specific work. The Inuit are hunter and worker people. In the family, the first-born has always to be a man, for that in the future he looks after and feed to his parents and to the rest of his family (his smaller sisters). And if the first-born is a women, the Inuit abandons the baby in the snow.

Tim Burton was born the 25 of august of 1958 in Burbank, California. Burton began to draw from he was so young, he was learning in the California Institute of the Arts, he studied the animation with a Disney scholarship, where he found a job like animator. He made one’s debut like director with the cartoons’ short, Vincent. The next work of Burton was a short calls Frankenweenie, a imaginative and young viewpoint of the legend of Frankenstein. Paul Reubens saw him and he decided that Burton, with only twenty years, was the ideal person to led his first feature film, Pee-wee’s Big Adventure, Burton was praised for his original viewpoint in this movie and he got a big success, that it leaded to the supernatural Beetlejuice.

After that, Tim Burton has directed a lot of extraordinary films with splendid casts, eerie pictures and fantastic stories. In Hollywood, they admires his originality and his risky work. Tim Burton is my favorite director because he has a very characteristic and funny style. I have never seen a bad or boring Burton’s film and two of my favorites movies are Burton’s films (Big Fish and Edward Scissorhands). Moreover, he always have wonderful actors that they fits in his mad and funny characters perfectly, Helena Bonham Carter and Johnny Depp.

Tim Burton gives to his movies an unique touch that do them very special. I love his films because they always grip me from the beginning and because all his movies have a magic and fantasize side that make me feel like in a dream.

    ulaluna

Ulaluna is a young girl that she belong to the tribe of the Litoga lake, a tribe of only five families, that it lives in the north pole’s region, away from the civilization. Everything was fine for Ulaluna until the morning of the big change, Ulaluna was playing with her friends and she was swept out. Ulaluna appeared in a rare earth, away from her home. From this moment she is meeting different and estrange people while she looks for the return’s way. This is a very entertain book, because it has a lot of short capitols and in every capitols she find a new and interesting adventure. I am reading this book because it is one of the books that Vera has recommended me and she has lent me (together with The violet diary of Carlota, I asked for this book to Vera because I have read The red diary of Carlota and I loved it) and I’m very happy for that because I am enjoying with the return to home of Ulaluna. I like that every capitols give you something about to think with a funny and fantastic form to see, though every this things are took of the reality. And I think that is genial the form to interact with the different characters, it has remembered me to the story of Alice in wonderland. This is a very interesting book that it is teaching me something new with every stories. Ulaluna is a book written for Jesús Ferrero, though he says that " She is the unique and really author of this book, I only made a note of Ulaluna dictates to me, in a place calls imagination."

    paris je t'aime

Vera and I wanted to watch this movie because Vera likes French cinema and Elena was slept when she went to see it in the cinema (it doesn’t mean that the film wasn’t interesting). So after of many attempts, we got to watch it. Fine.

Paris, Je t’aime narrate different stories about love, from different points of view, that they happens in Paris. The 18 stories are directed by different directors, like; Olivier Assayas, Gérard Depardieu, Gurinder Chadha, Joel and Ethan Coen, Isabel Coixet, Alfonso Cuarón, Alexander Payne, Daniela Thomas, Oliver Schmitz, Gus van Sant… Vera: Directed by Isabel Coixet, my favorite story has been a story about a man that he wants to separate of his wife, because he is in love of an other women (Leonor Watling). When his wife said him that she has cancer, he decides to face to the circumstances and to stay with her. Then he rediscover his love for she. I like this story because it demonstrates that when the situations get worse, they can have their positive part, in spite of you think that everything were lost. Elena: One of the stories that I prefer is about a vampire woman fell in love of a boy (Elijah wood) and she is unable of to eat him. He try to keep her cutting his veins, but he doesn’t get it and he die. She save his life converting him in vampire. I loved this story because as I like books about fantasy romance, I know the importance of she doesn’t eat him. For us this film has meant a lot, because we wanted to see it from long time and because all the stories have transmitted us something. And it has attracted us for its different points of view of the different directors, we think that this is a very complete form to see the love.

He went from the airport of Madrid last week. He lives in a residence of students with other Erasmus of different countries. This days, that there aren’t classes yet, they go out of party for the city and they meet new people, but the next month he will begin the new year in a new university, in a new country, with news teachers, news companions and everything in English. :) I’m happy for his departure because he will amuse very much, because he will learn how is the Sweden culture and because it is a very nice experience that I want to live when it is my turn too, but I love him a lot and I miss him. :(

It has near of 406 islands, the biggest islands are the Sjaelland and the Fyn. Faeroe and Greenland are of Denmark too. The economy. In Denmark there are a free commercial politic. Their level of life is one of the best in the world and they address an 1% of their GDP for to help others countries. Denmark is self-sufficient in energy. And they export machines, food and instruments. The gastronomy of Denmark is like the gastronomy of its neighbuor countries. The typical dishes of Denmark are greasy and heavy, this is for the clime and for the geographic situation. Denmark is a constitutional monarchy. The actual monarch is the Queen Marguerite II. The coin of Denmark is the Danish krone. A euro is like a bit more than seven krones (DKK). Denmark is a country where the equality of sex is fundamental, the women work and have the some benefits than the men. Situations like the nakedness, the drugs and the pornography are seen like normal things in the female and male sex. The bike is a transport very popular, because it’s free, sane and easy, since there are a lot of ways for bike and parking for the bicycles. Denmark is a wonderfull country.

    my european comity..

My experience with the Europe Comity was really wonderful for different reasons: firstly, because I traveled to a new and beautiful country that I had never seen; second, because I had a cool time, since I went (for first time) of trip with my best friends to meet new people, and finally, because my correspondent is a lovely boy that I met him two years ago and we fell very well. Before of to go out from Spain, I was excited and anxious, because I had many desires of to go out and of to have a big fun, but I was also a bit worried for something that now I think that it’s stupid, I had fear of to lose my suitcases in the airport (and apart, I have always had a lot of fear of to die in a plane) . During my stay in Denmark I had a very genial time: I was with my friends, I went to the city, I went of shopping, I visited many places of Aarhus, we did the workshops, we had parties, we meet lots of people from others countries, ... And everything was brilliant. The last days I was a bit sad, because I didn’t want to come back to Spain and to have to say goodbye to everybody that I had met. When we come back to Spain, I felt some empty, but I was very happy for the fantastic memory that I got in Denmark. It was the best trip..

    sahara..

The Saharan village was long ago a province, but when it suffered the Moroccan invasion, Spain left it to its luck. The Saharan village has been 30 years expelled from its place. And now, the survivors takes refuge in refugees camps en Algeria. And in spite of the fact that there is a ceasefire, there is a constant oppression for part of Morocco. For all this things we have to do the possible for to help them for that they recover of their situation. And although, is better to teach to fish than to hand over the fish, .. we have to try to send them all the possible help, because it’s the minimum that we can do. Intifada 4-6-07

    the fallas..

The fallas is a traditional celebration of Valencia.. From March 16th on (my birthday, by the way) the people of Valencia have a long weekend. On that time we fire bangers, we eatbunyols”(smalls doughnuts done with pumpkin)and xurros”(long fritters) with hot chocolate and we drinkorxata”(juice ofxufa”). For the celebration, the streets are very illuminated with festival lights and there are severalmascletas” (series of petards that explode one after other one). There are different groups offalleros/as”, they put thefallas” (statues of carton and wood that the last day of thefallaswe burn) and one “fallera” says goodbye to thefallaon thecremàday and she cries, etc. I think that in general I like the fallas”, because I like the petards, thebunyols”, thexurros”, theorxata”, my birthday and the FIRE..!! But I don’t like the tradition of thefalleras”.. La Salle.3/11/07 Fallas.3/11/07 Fallas2.3/11/07 Word Reference.3/11/07

    The Greenhouse Effect..

The constant emission of greenhouse gases to the atmosphere has produced the reduction of the thickness on the ozone layer and it does that the solar radiation penetrates up to the terrestrial surface and it prevents it from going out, then the solar radiation accumulates creating the Global Warming. Now the production of the gases that cause the Greenhouse Effect has risen for the human intervention( for the industrialization). This gases(CO2 principally) takes charge to absorb part of the energy emitted by the Sun (for to warm up the temperatures), the great emission of this gases cause big changes on the world’s clime, doing alterations in the temperatures and rain, increasing the desertification and the defrost of the poles, raising the sea’s level and causing inundations. Everybody can improve the planet’s situation doing small things like: not to waste, to recycle, to use ecologic materials, not to use contaminants products, etc. In a little time, it will be too late. Xmas in the world.

In Germany, when a small bell sounds, there are the presents down of the Christmas tree, but they can’t take them until they sing Night of Peace, the carol. In Belgium the people skate on Christmas day after to the typical familiar lunch. San Nicolás visits to the children the December 4th for to know if they are good kids and the December 6th he gives presents and sweets to the good boys and a small branch to the mischievous kids. The Finns put on their Christmas trees different countries’ flags. In France the Christmas start on December 6th with San Nicolas, he gives presents for the children. In Ireland the people decorate their houses with candles. They put a big white candle in the house’s entrance. The most small in the house lights this candle in Christmas Eve and only a person called Maria can put out it. The Italians eat lentils the year’s last night, "Notte di Capodanno". This night they give red lingerie to the women for that they will have good luck. In Roma and Napoles, at 12 o’clock, they throw their old junks for to start the new year very good. In Leetonia the people have to recite a poem before of to take a present. They make bonfires the year’s last night for to finish with the problems before new year. In the United Kingdom there is the traditional mistletoe, it protects of demons and gives good luck to the homes. And there are the crakers, petard with a cap, a present and a joke inside. In Switzerland, there is an association “the red nose”, they watch to the drivers that they seem to be a bit drunks and the association take they home. The Jews have the Januka , the children have presents of their familys. In Australia the Cristmas is in summer, they have the Christmas atmosphere in the beaches and they have a summer Santa Claus. The Indians decorate their houses with clay’s lamps in their walls. The Russians have Babushka, a Christmas figure that give presents to the good children.
Each country or culture have different habits and celebrations but all have a celebration that the most important is the family.
